With a motto of “A World of Cultures, United in Learning,” Ohlone College prides itself in creating a learning environment where students are valued and supported in their academic, career, and personal and social goals. To this end, we are committed to ensuring you are in optimal health and ready to learn. The Student Health Center takes great pride in being one of the most visible and resourceful student services on campus by providing excellent health care to students and taking a leadership role in promoting and advocating for a healthy campus community.
Opening in January 1997, the Student Health Center is a collaborative effort with Washington Township Hospital Health Care District and the Ohlone Community College District, the first collaborative effort of its kind in California. Ohlone has served as a model for several other California community college health centers and hospital partnerships, including Las Positas College and Chabot College Student Health Centers. The Ohlone Student Health Center is supported, in whole, by a student health fee which is currently $19 per fall and spring semester, and $16 during the summer session.
The health center provides primary and urgent care, immunizations, diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, over the counter medications, free HIV testing and counseling, health education, and mental health services. It is also a Family PACT provider, California’s comprehensive family planning program for low income men and women.
